Present: I7.H.Brazil,R.P.Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Absent: None The minutes of March 17th, 24th and 31st were read and approved as read. 6� The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion'of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil: Chas. & Ruby Hemstreet - Addn. of kitchenette to building, Part of Lots 11 & 12, Block 5, Weills Addn. Cost 200.00 Frank Adler - Warehouser Part of Block 509 2000.00 R. L. Willitt - Residence and Gar. Pt of Lot "L ", Phillips Addn. 5000.00 J. G. Jones - Addn. to present service station, Lot 169 Blk. 71 " 400.00 Rodney Johnson (Karl's Shoe Store) - Remodel Store, Pt Blk 109 " 1000.00 General Petroleum Corp. Service Sta. Lots 16 & 171 Blk. 1099 Mission Vineyard, " 8500.00 ( with the proviso that the work be done by a Licensed contractor ) Petition received from J. M. Johnston, 1618 Hillcrest Place to remove tree whi blocks-the entrance to his garage, ( at his expense ) and on motinn of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell, same-was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works, with poia;er to act. Application of Mary 0. Hischier'to raze building located on part of Lot 5, Block 7, Buena Vista Addition received, and on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W.H. Brazi ;, same was granted with the provision that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. Application of the General Petroleum Corp, for permit to cut curb for a distance of 36 feet in two sections and rampsidewalk on the south side of Marsh Street between Santa Rosa and Osos Streets was granted on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by R. P. Howell. Applicaticn of Nance L. Negranti for permit to connect with sewer on Serrano Road between Broad Street and westerly city limits was received and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell same was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report. Claims against the city for the month of March, 1941 were ordered paid, subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the Mayor. This being the time set for hearing on the Unpaid Assessment List for the Improvement of Peach Street (Jt.) Improvement, under and pursuant to Resolution of In- tention No. 534 (New Series), the matter was now taken up by the Council; no written objections against issuance of the bonds were presented or filed and no one appeared to make verbal protest, and Resolution No. 566 (New Series) - A Resolution relating to the issuance of. Improvement Bonds of the City of San Luis Obispo, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 534, (New Series) Determining the amount of Unpaid Assessments, prescribing the denomi- nations of such bonds, and providing for their issuance and delivery, was duly and re- gularly adopted, on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil, by the following roll call vote: Ayes: W.H.Brazil,'R.P.Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None Absent: None Resolution No. 567 (New Series) - A Resolution providing for the.Execution of an Agreement between the City of San Luis Obispo and Pacific Gas and Electric Company, relating to the installation and maintenance of eight electric street lights, was passed and adopted, on motion of R. F.- Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil, by the following vote:
