City Council met in adjourned session - :Eayor F. C. Kimball presiding.

The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of R. P.
Howell seconded by ;'i. H. Brazil:
Mary Berry - Te_mporary storage house - Pt. of Blk. 10 - Cost 45.00
Mary Derry - Raze bldg. caused by fire - Ft. of BL-.. 101 -
Lawrence Austin - Storage house for Restaurant -and candy kitchen-

Old Mission - Remodel for quarters for Futhers - 350.00
On motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil the following sewer connections
were Granted; work to be done .under the supervision of the City Engineer:
Harry Overland - sewer conn. First St. between Mill and Essex Streets
Palmer Mortuary - if Essex St. between Monterey and Higuera Sts.
The application of George E. Kershaw for registration as a Class "E" contractor to-
gether :vith IT. S. 1' fidelity and Guaranty Co. bond in the amount of $$500.00 and registration f ee of
1915.00 received and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by *g. H. Brazil it was ordered that the
surety be accepted, bond approved and registration granted.
The Merchandising Bond of Fred K. Brown and Margaret Doyle in the amount of $200.00.
sjith the U. S. fidelity and Guaranty Co. as surety.was received and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy,
seconded by 'N. H. Brazil the surety was accepted, bond approved and license ordered issued.
The petition filed by Neon Sales & Service to hang a neon sign for the Union Labor
Temnle at 1530 Monterey St. was granted on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell.
The petition filed by the City Employees ( Department of Public ' .-+orks) asking for a
salary increase was ordered received and filed and on motion of R. r. Howell, seconded by 1.11. H.
Brazil the following increased were granted:

Resolution No. 666 (New Series) - A Resolution opposing the Issuance or Transfer
into the City of San Luis Obispo of any additional "On Sale Beer" license was passed and adapted on
motion of W.H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, upon the following roll call vote:
Ayes: d.H. Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Limball
Noes: None
Absent: Joseph Leary
Resolution No. 667 (New Series) - A Resolution authorizing and directing the purchase
of United estates '.'far Bonds was passed and adopted on motion of R.t.Howell, seconded by W.H.Brazil
upon the following roll call vote:

Commissioner R.P. Howell agreed to furnish men to help decorate the city with banners
for the bond sale.
Authority was granted Commissioner Howell to make a survey of Reservoir Canyon Park
and to have workmen repair picnic tables and barbecue pits and to request the Board of Supervisors
to improve the road into the park.
