C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Abeent : None The minutes of February 1st and of the Special Called meeting of Feb. 9, 1943 were read and approved as read. On motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by :'T, H. Brazil the following permits were granted; work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer: Applications for sidewalk and curbing: S. P. Milling Co.- 36 ft. of sidewalk on the East side of Santa Barbara Ave. between High.and Upham Streets August E. Melim - 150 ft. of sidewalk and curbing on the East side of Broad St. between Mt. View and Center Streets. F. C. Kimball - 50 ft. of sidewalk and curbing on the east side of Broad St. between Mt. View and Center Streets, Gus Howie 50 ft. of sidewalk on the south side of Funston St. between Broad and Lawton Streets. O.H. Cummings_ - 12 ft: of sidewalk and curbing on the south side of Funston St. bettiveen Broad and Lawton Streets Seer Permit C. A. Maino - To connect with sewer on Fig St. between Osos and Sta. Rosa Streets. The application of Mary C. Lynch for permit to conduct a Lodging House at 1301 Morro St, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for in- vestijn;ation and report, on motion of R.P. Hmkiell, seconded by Ralph C. ?Kennedy. Application No. 289 filed by Pacific Gas and Electric Co, for rermit to remove tree on Peill St. between Ida and Grove Streets was granted on motion of R.P,Howell, seconded by VT. H. Brazil. The transfer of license-from 0,•P. Hazard at 208 Higuera St. to :ynnabelle `-'Darren dba "Sisters Inn" teas 'granted on motion of Pr, H. Brazil, seconded by R.P.Howell. Notification received from the State Board of Equalization for transfer of license for "On Sale Beer" from 0. P. Hazard at 208,Higuera St. to Annabelle 1!1arren, dba Sister's Inn, as was also the transfer of license of Chris Ottesgard at 999 Monterey St. for "On Sale Beer" license to Henry C. Dalessi. Same was ordered received and filed. Notification received from the-State Board of Equalization notifying the change of the "Off Sale Distilled Spirits" and "Off Sale Beer and ',Tine" license from Fred K. Brown & Margaret Doyle at 1026 Morro St. to Fred K. Brown dba. Broom and Doyle. Same was ordered filed. Communication received from the State Senate California Legislature enclosing a Resolution, requesting the reduction in city spending during the Tar emergency period. Same vms ordered filed. Communication received from J. R. Rone requesting the city Council to take action and put in a sidewalk on Hathway Ave. Same was ordered filed. Communication received from Robert J. Hansen making application for nosition as Police Officer. Same was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, and application was ordered filed. The reports of Police Judge and the City Clerk for the month of 1 January 1943 were ordered received and filed. The application of A. Brovelli for license to conduct a Lodging House at 878 Morro Street was granted on motion of w.H.Brazil, seconded by R.P.Ho�vell. The applications filed by Mrs. Jacqueline Shephard for Cigars Sideline and Soft Drinks at 178 Higuera St. was denied as was also the transfer of license for
