Communication from Ken Ball , President of the Student Body of Sr. High School asking permission to hang overead canvas sign across the street at Chorro and Higuera Sts. from Feb. 17th to Feb. 28th inc. advertising activities of the Student Body, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, with power to act, on motion of G.W.Baker, seconded by Kline 'iilliams. Nielsen to remove trees on parkway, 618 Grove St. This being the date set for receiving bids on 4 Door Sedan, the following bid was submitted by, B.H.Thresh, Inc. for 1946 - 4 Door Sedan - Price $1535.931 X.O.B. San Luis Obispo and on motion of G.W.Baker, seconded by F.L.Gist, the Bid was awarded to E.H.Thresh, Inc. purchase to be paid out of the Public Improvement and Betterment Fund. Iviotion carried. Howell, seconded by Kline Yilliams, that in the future all applications for permits to remove trees from parkway and sidewal_{ areas be referred to the Engineering Department and the latter be authorized to issue and grant permits. On motion of F.L.Gist, seconded by Kline Williams, the Commissioner of Public Works,, R.P.Hotiaell, was authorized to make survey of Tract 34 and given power to install the street lights if needed. On motion of Kline Williams, seconded by G.Vi.Baker, the Commissioner of Supplies was instructed to purchase signs reading " 10 miles per hour" to be used for posting Tract 34. On motion of G.VIT.Baker, seconded by F.L.Gist, the meeting adjourned.
