Baker, seconded by F.L.Gist it was ordered that the check be accepted and the City Assessor authorized to make up a redemption certificate upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: G. ',`d. Baker, F.L. Gist, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy Noes: None Absent: Kline Williams Communication from San Luis Obispo High School District, requesting the Council to cancel taxes on the following property: All of that certain real property situate in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California and described as follows: Lots 5,6,7,8, 219 22, 23, and 24 in Block 2 of the Goldtree Vineyard Tract, according to the map recorded September 30th, 1893, ih Book 1 of Records and Surveys at page 14 on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California. it was ordered that the taxes be cancelled on the above request. The application of birs. Don McCullum for license for Restaurant at 412 Higuera St. dba Polly Cafe was granted on motion of F. L. Gist, seconded by G. W. Baker. Communication from San Luis Ice and Cold Storage Corp. requesting permission to make a connection to the water main on Pismo St. for the purpose of connecting with their present sprinkler system, was granted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by G. W. Baker. Claims against the City for the month of April were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the kayor. The claims of J. P. Wentworth in the amount of $6.75 and of G. 0. Keffer in the amount of $22.13 for work done by Smee's Plumbing for repairs to sewer line were denied on motion of R.P.Hoti. -ell, seconded by F.L.Gist. The Lerchandising Bond of Arthur G. Bergman for city license was denied on account of the location of the building which is in fire zone No. 1 and does not come up to the code for a merchandising location, on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by F.L. Gist. Communication from H. J. Dubin dated April 21, 1947 Re: removal of dirt was f;. ordered filed. filed. Communication from 0. H. Barnes re: condition of carnival grounds was ordered Petition presented by J. B. Browning et al requesting police action and put up proper school zone signs at the corner of Peach and Toro Streets, as it is a very dangerous intersection; the petition was accepted and approved by the Council and the City Attorney was instructed to bring in Resolution declaring a four way Boulevard stop at the corner of Toro and Peach Streets. On motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by F.L.Gist, the meeting adjourned to May 12th, 1947 at 7:30 P.M. upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: G.W. The bond of R. Mc Gray posted by the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co. in con- nection with the contract to relocate 12" city water main across San Luis Obispo Creek was presented and on motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by Kline Williams the bond was approved.. Motion carried. Agreement as submitted by the Department of Public Works, State of California, recuesting the city to change the water main in San Luis Obispo located along the southerly and easterly side of the State Highway right -of -way officially designated as State High- way V- SLO -2 -D, was ordered received and filed. Communication from George Stephens, Executive Director of the Housing Authority Re: Santa Rosa St. Homes Park paving was held over. Communication from Federal Works Agency, Bureau of Community Facilities, Re: Insurance on Recreation Bldg. was held over. Resolution No. 807 (New Series) - A Resolution providing for the Execution of a rent and lease Agreement between the City of San Luis Obispo and J. J. Dunne was passed and adopted on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded -by ;G.W.Baker upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: G. W. Baker, F.L.Gist, R.P.Howell, Ralph C.
