will be discontinued after June 21, 1947 and the City Attorney was instructed to notify
the State Health Department of the city's action.
On motion of Wm. C. Hall, seconded by G.W.Baker, the City Clerk was instructed
yo write -to the Board of Supervisors, asking for permission to use the County Jail to
house city prisoners.
Ordinance No. 286 (New Series) - kn Ordinance creating the Office of Deputy
City C1erj, prescribing the duties thereof, and fixing the amount of bond for said cf'fice
was passed to print on motion of Wm. 0: Hall, seconded by G.W.Baker upon the following
roll call vote:

The application of the Latin Daughters for a Dance to be held on June 14, 1947
was granted on motion of Kline Williams, seconded by R.P. Howell.
Application of San Luis Op,is po Plating Works for city license was granted on
motion of Kline -Williams, seconded by G.W.Baker.
Anplication for transfer of Deluxe Cab Co. was again held over.
Claim of Ivirs. R.n.VJard, 1444 Morro St. in the amount of $94.43 for sewer repair
( work done by 3mee Plumb. Co. ) was denied on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by
O. Hall.
On motion of R. F. Howell, seconded by Kline Williams the Commissioner of
Supplies was instructed to purchase stand by pump for the Senjer Disposal Plant.
The meeting adjourned to `I':ednesday June 18, 1947 at 8 P. L. on motion of

Plans for construction of a two story central office building were presented
to the Council by J. E. Gooding, Tgr. of the Pacific Tel and Tel Co., L`-r. R.C.Iioseley,
chief Enuipment Engineer and A.J. Satuorius of the Company's real estate department
were also present. fissuring the Council that the new building will conform architecturally
to any building planned by the city was given by the telephone company representatives.
The mayor and all members of the Council expressed approval of the Comra ny's building as
outlined.
