Recreation Center Building, June 28, 1948 = 7:30 P. M.
The City Council met in .adjourned sessionl Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: G.W. Baker, Wm. 0. Hall, R.P. Howell, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Kline Williams
Absent: None
This being the time set as per advertised notice for receiving bids for
furnishing to the City of San Luis Obispo automotive equipment ( Dump Truck) the following
bids were received:
1 - Kimball Motor Co. - Amt. of Bid $ 3312.46 plus State Sales Tax
2 - J. J.Dunne 11 11 It 3 %0.00 Tax included
3 - E. H. Thresh, Inc. " It if 260.81 plus State Sales Tax
4 - Booth Bros. " it It 3230.00 " " if It
Remarks: The bid of J.J. Dunne and E.H. Thresh, Inc. as submitted, to not qualify under
the specifications as the horsepower rating is less than 100 H.P.
On motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall, the bids were referred to the Commission
of Supplies for investigation and report and the award to be officially made at 10 o'clock
A. M., Wednesday, June 30th, 1948.
Communication from Dr. Swart out, County Health Officer, Re: Agreement with
the City of San Luis N ispo covering Public Health Work which is not provided for by the
California State Laws -- this matter was referred to the City Attorney to discuss with the
County Health Doctor and to report his findings to the Council.
Ordinance No. 302 (New Series)i An Ordinance reclassifying as C -2
(General Business) District certain parcels of land located on the westerly side of Broad
Street from a point approximately midway between Marsh and Pacific Streets to a point
approximately midway between Pacific and Pismo Streets was finally passed on motion of
G. W.Baker, seconded by Kline Williams upon the follow±ng vote:

Noes: None
Absent: None
Ordinance No. 303 (New Series) - '.An Ordinance providing for the acquisition
of certain real property by the City of San Luis Obispo from'Bernhard Lewin and Mildred
was finally passed on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by % -Im. 0. Hall upon the Poll
ing vote:

The application of Harry L. Davis, together with Merchandising Bond in the
$200 written by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty C6. for a license to sell Pott
at 183 Higuera St. was granted on motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Kline Williams,
the surety was accepted, bond approved and license ordered issued.
The following applications and transfer were granted on motion of Kline 'Milli
seconded by R.P.Howell:

ransfer of Hotel Obispo from Eva Vreeland to Jack Radison , 1025 Court St.
The application of Jos. H. Rayman for a Taxicab License operating in the City
f San Luis Obispo from Morro Bay, was denied on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by Kline
lliams.
