Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly Absent: D. M. Carpenter, Frank V. Woods The Minutes of the meeting of August 18th and 25th, were approved. First order of Business: This being the time set as peradvertised Notice for receiving Bids on: (1) Johnson Street Imp. Project No. 18 (2) Sales Register `Machine The following Bids were pulicly opened and read: Johnson Street Imp. Project Bid of Granite Construction Co., Watsonville -AMT. $33,970-03 4-415 and on- motion of Fred Lucksinger, seconded by Paul W. Davis the bid was rejected as being excessive and the City Engineer and the City Engineer instructed to re- advertise. Sales Register Madhine The National Cash Register Co. submitted a bid in the amount of 23, 60.00 plus State Sales Tax -- machine to be delivered F•O.B. S. L. 0. and on :notion of Pau] W. Davis, secndec by Fred Lucksinger, it was ordered the bid by awarded and the following Resolution adopted: Resolution No. 1138 (Ndw Series) - A Resolution Accepting bid for purchase of Sales Register Machine was passed and adopted on motion of Paul W. Davis, seconded by Fred Lucksinger upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: Paul W. Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I: O'Reilly Noes: None Absent: D. M. Carpenter, Frank V. Woods. This being the time set as per advertised Notice for Public Auction on the following surplus equipment: 1 - 1929 Model A Ford Pickup Lic. E -57523 2 - One only 1930 Model A Ford Pickup Lic. E -57525 3 - One Moline Manure Spreader 4 - One Tumble Bug Scraper 5 - One A & B Street Sweeper Written Sealed bids were received from (1) Jane & 01 Marcum and (2) Henry Agueda, which were not accepted and ordered received and filed. The Mayor then conducted Oral Bidding from the floor and sold to the highest bidder and the follooing Resolution adopted. Resolution No. 1139 INew Series) - A Resolution providing for acceptance By the City of San Luis Obispo of Bids for the sale of Property was passed and adopted on motion. of Fred Lucksinger, seconded by Paul W. Davis upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: Paul W. Davis, Fred Lucksinger, Timothy I. O'Reilly Noes: None Absent: D. M. Carpenter, Frank V. Woods Communication from Jack Smith Re: Transfer of business lincense from 684 Higuera St. to 698 Higuera St. was referred t othe City Building Inspector for approval. Communication from Mr. Wright L. Felt was referred to the City Engineer. Petition filed by Mrs. Neil Pettit et al complaining about dogs in the neighborhood of 400 Block Sandercock St.; after discussion, the petition was ordered received and filed b-: common consent of the Conucil.
