Mayor Schwartz

1. The City Councilmembers reported on activities of the following

The City Council continued consideration of the Proposed General Plan
Update
as recommended by the Planning Commission.
A. The Planning Staff reviewed the proposed General Plan summary which is to
be published on January 22, 1977 for the public hearing before the City
Council on January 25, 1977.
B. Staff reviewed so- called problem area land use proposals brought out over
the past two years by the public while the General Plan Update was going
through the various.discussion changes before the citizens, Planning
Commission and the City Council. Problem areas discussed were:
1. Fixlini Drive - whether it should stay to low density or be
increased.
2. Vacant land along Calle Joaquin - the density to be allowed.
3. The area along North Foothill, Tassajara Street west to the City
limits.
4. South Orcutt Road Area, outside of City limits.
5. The West side of Broad Street, between Sweeney and Rockview Place.
9:00 p.m. Mayor Schwartz called a recess.
9:10 p.m. The City Council reconvened with all members present.
The City Council and staff continued their discussion of the Proposed General
Plan and particularly the key implementation proposals regarding tentative
regulatory systems revisions and plan refinement schedule after adoption of
the urban land use and growth elements of the General Plan.

3. There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
