Hillside Planning continued to Tuesday, September 18, 1984.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor
Billig adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m. to Monday, September 17, 1984, at
12:10 p.m.

Council considered a request to widen public sidewalk and to construct
arcades within the public right -of -way for the block-bounded by Monterey,
Higuera, Santa Rosa and Osos Streets.
Toby Ross, Community Development Director, briefly highlighted several of
the'projects that are under Rossi /King Organization and currently being
considered by the City in this same general area of the downtown.
Jeff Hook, Associate Planner, briefly reviewed the Council agenda report,
stating that the applicant, Rossi /King Organization (RKO), proposed to
widen public sidewalks providing arcades which would extend into the public
right -of -way. These improvement would be built in conjunction with two new
buildings and a remodeling and face -lift of the Sperry and Laird Buildings,
