2. WATER (File #517)
A. Council considered Local Water Resource Alternatives Study.
Bill Hetland, Utilities Manager, introduced Bill Bardin and Bob Severack.
Bill Bardin gave a slide presentation reviewing the background study
objectives and scope work including project water usage.
Bob Severack reviewed the project water alternatives and economic
analysis. He also reviewed components of the State water project and
transportation charges.
Mayor Dunin asked for questions from the audience. Questions were posed
by Ken Schwartz, and Don Smith.
Bill Bardin then summarized the report and seven conclusions.
5:45 p.m. Mayor Dunin left the meeting. Vice -Mayor Dovey presiding.
After general discussion, moved by Griffin /Settle, (4 -0 -1, Dunin absent),
to file the report as recommended with direction to staff to provide
copies to interested parties, specifically the agencies in the Estero
Planning Area and South Counties.
B. Council considered Whale Rock Commission policy issues.
After brief discussion, the council requested that the City Attorney
review the policy statements and comment..
Moved by Rappa /Griffin (4 -0 -1, Dunin absent), to continue the discussion
of policy statements to date certain Monday, August 4th at 4:00 p. m.
C -1 Council consensus that the communication received from Music and the '
Arts for Youth (MAY) Group be continued to August 4, 1986.
There being no further business to come before the City Council,
Vice -Mayor Dovey adjourned the meeting 6:00 p.m. to Monday August 4,
1986 at 4:00 p.m. for discussion of t e c unty water presentation.
