PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no public comments.
e� BUSINESS ITEMS
1. ACCEPTANCE OF A CONSERVATION EASEMENT FOR A PORTION OF THE
BOWDEN RANCH NEAR WOODLAND DRIVE.
Natural Resources Manager Havlik presented the staff report.
Public Comments
Mary Beth Schroeder, 2085 Wilding Lane, praised the Council for conserving the Bowden
property.
Wendy Brown, 1865 Wilding Lane, concurred with Ms. Schroeder and asked that she, and
others in the neighborhood, be notified of any future Council actions on this property.

Council expressed gratitude to Fred Glick, property owner, and were supportive of a
conservation easement.
ACTION: Moved by Mulholland/Ewan to adopt Resolution No. 9274 (2001 Series)
authorizing the Mayor to accept the donation of a Conservation Easement covering
the approximately 180-acre portion of the Bowden Ranch, which lies adjacent to, but
1 outside of, the boundaries of the City of San Luis Obispo, subject to non -
substantive changes. approved by the City Attorney; motion carried 3:0.

Fred Giicli property owner, commented that he has a personal attachment to the property and .
is pleased that it will remain in open space.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, Vice Mayor Marx adjourned
the meeting at 10:18 a.m. to Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at 7: 0 p.m. in the ncil Chamber,
990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
