MINUTES REGULAR MEETING
October 2, 2013

CALL TO ORDER: 5:00 PM
PRESENT: Chairperson: Hillary Trout; Vice Chairperson: Louise Matheny
Commissioners: Robert Clayton, Ronald Tilley, Ivan Simon, Michelle Tasseff
ABSENT: Commissioners: Janet Pierucci

SUBJECT TO COUNCIL APPOINTMENT (SCHROEDER)
Interim City Clerk Schroeder swore in new Commissioner Michelle Tasseff.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES:
ACTION: Moved by Matheny/Tilley to approve the minutes of September 4, 2013 as
submitted; motion carried 6:0.

PUBLIC COMMENT
John Ashbaugh & Jill Victorino spoke on the Donation Station Meter Program for the
Homeless.
Commissioners requested staff to return to HRC with additional information.
BUSINESS ITEMS
Item 1. REVIEW THE GRANTS IN AID 2014-15 APPLICATION (TROUT)
Commissioners agreed by consensus to make no changes with the exception
of correcting the dates on question #9.
Item 2. RELEASE 2ND QUARTER 2013-2014 MAXINE LEWIS MEMORIAL
SHELTER FUNDS. (TROUT)
ACTION: Moved by Matheny/Clayton to release 2nd quarter 2013-14 Maxine Lewis
Memorial Shelter Funds; motion carried 6:0.
Item 3. ASSIGN 2013-14 GRANTS IN AID LIAISONS (TROUT)
Liaisons assigned by consensus.
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Commissioner Tilley reported on Senior Legal Services Project
Commissioner Clayton reported on site visit to Community Counseling Center
There being no further business to come before the HRC, Trout adjourned the HRC
meeting at 5:55 p.m. to the regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2013
at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 990 Palm St.
