Sh_ell _Assessment (McGuire) Discussed building assessment of Jack House. Reached out to KBZ Santa Barbara and their report shows areas of concern. Recommendation: Overall Jack House is sound. Tier 1 earthquake and tier 2 there would be no loss of life, but the repair for damages that would occur in a tier 2 earthquake would not be cost effective. It is recommended to add sheer walls, anchors, and tie chimney to 1 Sc and 2°d floor. Gazebo, carriage house, gift shop and bridal suite are fine. As for the arbor, we need to start from scratch. There is also a risk for more damage due to current condition of roof, especially if heavy rain occurred. Public Comment: None Committee Comment MOORE - KINCAID — Need to have to roof redone. SETTLE - 3. Event Host Training (Hyfield) Discussed facility user responsibilities and the training for facility host who work at the Jack House. No cars policy on the property unless approved beforehand. Rate: $3000-$3400. Revenue goes to general fund. Public Comment: NONE Committee Comment SUNDBYE- MOORE — where does the revenue go? KINCAID — What are the rental fees? Requested to have the host more visible. SETTLE -- loose stones on walkway. 4. Restoration Condition Sur v (Setterlund) Update Only: Kimberly completed survey and will have survey at next meeting. The title will be "Jack House". A horizontal, I1x17 size, with bronze plaque and pebble texture would be good. Next meeting we will add to business agenda and vote. Parks Master Plan Up_d(Setterlund) Update Only: The jack House is mentioned specifically under "Goal 2" as of now nothing has been approved from the PRC. Victorian Christmas Advert (Setterlund) Recommendations: Fund advertising fees for Victorian Christmas. Revisit what we did last year, as it worked well to get the word out. We advertise in the local papers, social media, and other electronic platforms. $3000 budget was voted on and approved. Victorian Christmas Comments: ' SUNDBYE — When advertising for Victorian Christmas, can we possibly post posters around downtown? MOORE - KINCAID - For the carriage house sign, can that be replaced? Barriers for leaves will be needed. Fence is ready to be worked on by Rotary Club, they are asking the city to buy paint & that the trees be cut back to work. SETTLE — Can we get carriage house cleaned and rodent traps? Remove the items that do not belong there. In the house there is a broken table that has a missing piece. No food and drink in the house. Is it possible to clean the outside of the house, specifically dusting the doors? SETTERLUND- will ask Adam about above questions.
