Subject:oppose modification to the city’s Public Art Policy
Hello,
I am very concerned and do not support the modification to the city’s Public Art Policy banning the depiction of a
person. Have you notified interested parties and the public to give input on the modification? If not, I urge you to do so
before making such a change. I recognize you may have a concern about diverse and inclusive representation in the
City, but this is too drastic, and to the detriment of honoring people who have made San Luis Obispo the place that we
love.
I work in San Luis Obispo and live in Morro Bay, and I support our local artists and the art community.
Please don’t rush to put a ban on art.
