I do not live in the city of San Luis Obispo, however I am a frequent visitor and shopper,
and enjoy the dining, entertainment and movie venues as well.
I do follow the politics of the city council and mayor and do believe it is a challenging job
that requires the most able and talented people who are willing to serve. Actually it
seems daunting to me.
The proposed pay increase is 0.25% of the annual City budget; a very small amount
considering that city employees are well compensated (which they should be).
I am in favor of the proposed increase to attract competent individuals for these elected
roles in city government. Please vote Yes.
