To supplement my income, I have to work very late nights driving Lyft, and I have a master’s degree in science. There is not enough work in my field of environmental education - and all I need is part time. There are not enough jobs here, in my opinion, for higher educated. Hence, I am closely considering moving, and I work relentlessly as a volunteer to protect our county environmentally. So, I support you in raising your wages Feb 3. Go ahead and do it - we all need a livable income. And you work hard. 1 However, I question the legitimacy of you voting on your own wages - it reminds me of the politicians in Washington raising their own wages. You are a good council.
