Subject:Supporting council compensation increases
Mayor Harmon & Council Members,
I am writing in support of increasing mayor and city council compensation. I believe having more
competitive wages for the positions will help attract a more competitive, diverse and eligible base of
candidates running for the positions. The recommended increases are extremely modest, a minuscule
amount of our city's budget, and still well below SLO's median income.
