Dear Members of the Council,
I am writing to express my support for increasing the compensation received by City Council. I would like
to see greater diversity on the Council and I recognize and appreciate the incredible amount of time it
takes to thoughtfully review issues brought before the Council. Increasing compensation is one way to
encourage people who are not wealthy, retired, etc. to serve.
To further facilitate diversity, please also consider capping the amount of money candidates can spend
during a campaign.
