Subject:Vote to Increase Mayor and Council Member's Compensation
Dear City Council Members,
I'm writing in favor of the vote to increase the compensation of the Mayor and Council Members. I
believe this will lead to the increase of a diverse group of voices to fill these seats.
Currently, the compensation limits the seats to be filled by those who are retired or who are already on
the wealthier end of our community. The financially average person could not afford to fill a seat and
still live within our increasingly expensive community. I also think it will allow our Mayor to give more
focus to what seems like a full time job.
I hope that you all will vote to pass increase.
