Dear members of the city council ,
The purpose of this letter is to inform you on our concerns regarding the new ordinances to be
discussed regarding the prohibition on the sale of flavored tobacco and /or electronic cigarette devices.
First off let me state plainly and urgently that 90 days IS NOT ENOUGH TIME to go through and sale
inventory in our stores. We would like to kindly request more time. We feel that 6 months would be a
more reasonable amount of time for us to be able to move all the inventory from our stores. Also it is
important for me to adress SECTION 8.14.030 of the San Luis Obispo Municipal Code that states " The
sale or distribution by an establishment of an Electronic Smoking Device is prohibited in the city of San
Luis Obispo, including all non-flavored and flavored Electronic Smoking Device products, including mint
and menthol."
Based on the previous meeting the whole topic was FLAVORED TABACCO AND FLAVORED E-CIGARETTE
FLAVORS. All the staments made by those concerned was based on the flavors and juice of the E-
Cigrettes. So with all do respect we would like to ask the council to consider sticking with the ban of the

Flavored Tabacco and E-Cigrettes and NOT Menthol, or Tabacco flavors, or the DEVICES or ACESSORYS
needed by ADULTS who CHOOSE to use theese products. In no other city thus far has the banning of the
acessorys been made. I believe it would bein all of our best interest to only ban the flavored tabacco
and flavored E-Cigrettes as mentioned in my previous letter of ADULT prefrences and the fact it will only
direct sales to ONLINE, some resuliting in black markets and counerfiet products. I would like to stress
once more the importance of a longer time frame need to make theese changes. WE NEED MORE TIME!
90 days is not enough! Once again I ask you to consider 6 months. Thank you for your time and
consideration is this matter.
