My family and I played tennis there for years. It was rarely used in the past which was great for my daughter who was on the SLOHS tennis team for 3 years. I go by the court a dozen times a day and the tennis court is still rarely used by tennis players. There has not been a surge of tennis activity. Several years ago I was the one who kept a tally of when the court was used and by how many. We presented you with the numbers, and eventually we got pickleball courts to share with the tennis players. Pickleball players are so grateful for that, and also for the new permanent courts, as well. Pickleball activity at French is increasing greatly. New pickleball players are now playing in the afternoons and evenings: families, young kids, are swarming the courts—not just retirees, like in the mornings. Trust me, I know. I see them and hear them. Why PRC wants to limit the time of pickleball use is beyond me. We are getting more and more and more players weekly, of all ages, and are we having to wait for play time. Are there more tennis players? Not what I have seen, and as you recall I see the court all day long, everyday, at all different times. Please consider keeping the play times we have now. It is important for our growing pickleball community in SLO. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Blaire Kilbey 1
