Subject:Last nite PRC communication meeting
I attended last nights meeting and believe some additional facts should help in your decision in regard to
the pickleball court times. The facts are that there are now 14 permanent tennis courts and only 3
permanent PB courts available in the city of SLO. You have to take in effect the high school courts are
used all the time outside school hours. Plus they have lights for additional hours up to 14 a day 0700-
2100 hours every weekend and about 3 months in the summer when a lot of residents enjoy the
outdoors. There are also 6-8 permanent tennis courts at Cal Poly that are used by residents. Our tennis
group meets there occasionally when there are tournaments held at Sinsheimer. As you can see plenty
of hours for tennis not so much for pickleball.
The numbers are there to see. 20+ permanent tennis courts 3 pickleball courts. Really when you look at
it, it really seems to be an easy decision to keep more pickleball hours at French Park. Thanks Jim Healy
Slo resident.
