Dear Mayor and City Council Members -
Thank you for your efforts to advocate for the Broad Street at Woodbridge Bike/Ped Crossing that is on the Consent
Agenda to be approved at the March 17th Council
Meeting.
Can't wait to see the build out happening this fall - to allow for safer crossings for all.
With Gratitude for all your efforts,
Aimee Wyatt

Hi Neighbors - as a follow-up to the previous email, here's the City Council Staff Report on the Funding Approval for
build-out of the Broad St. at Woodbridge Bike/Ped Crossing that we've long talked of.
City Council Agenda:
https://www.slocity.org/government/mayor-and-city-council/agendas-and-minutes
SPECIFIC staff report for this item that has details:
https://www.slocity.org/Home/ShowDocument?id=25717
It's a consent agenda item which means 99.9% likely there won't be any discussion and it's a slam dunk
approval. Originally, I was planning to go, however, given that it's likely to be a long council meeting and I'd rather not
be downtown on St. Patty's day, I"m going to sit it out and instead send a thank you to council for their action by
emailing them here: emailcouncil@slocity.org.
A few notes from the Staff Report:
1
1 the crossing will be at Woodbridge. I know it's not the best spot for many of our neighbors who live on Lawrence,
closer to Broad. I heard some time ago that this spot was proposed for various reasons (cost, tie in to new bikeway with
the Victoria extension, etc).
2. Timeline - construction is to be expected in the fall. Not tomorrow, but still this year. Yay.
Thanks to everyone for advocating more bike/ped safety access between our neighborhoods. Best/aimee
