I am tied up today. Joseph Lease, the citys building official will phone you to address. A point that should be
made is that the building code implements general plan policies and zoning ordinance codes. So to that extent,
eliminating or modifying the provision would not necessarily change it. It is also important to understand that
this is an existing standard.
Joseph will call with more info and see if we can work through any changes.

Subject: are you free to meet anytime today?
A number of our members have concern regarding language in the 2013 Building code updates. The areas of
concern is the language found on page 12, J101.6 "Special Grading Standards" and the appendix found on
bottom of page 14, "Grading to remain in Natural State".
Is there an opportunity to modify the language prior to Tuesday? And or, change that evening?
