Subject: 1141 Ella St
Hi Kyle,
I believe we met at a Christmas Bank the Drum event just
before the holiday. I have been keeping tabs on that project
and it appears to be moving forward but at a relatively slow
pace. I am looking forward to the grand opening.
I have been looking at the Ella project progress and am
attaching a letter to the review committee with my comments.
I am always pleased to see the urban infilling of vacant lots.
Hope you, your friends and co-workers are safe and taking the
appropriate precautions concerning the coronavirus.
Most sincerely,
Scott

Dear Architectural Review Commission:
I am writing to express my support for the project at 1141 Ella Street. Having moved to San Luis
Obispo just a few years ago and choosing to buy a home within walking distance from Downtown I
commend the city and its contractors for taking on and approving the urban infilling of lots close to
the center of the town. Not only do they add needed housing but given the walkability of their
locations they will improve the environmental impact relative to building in outlying developments.
Due to my interest in the construction process, I researched the new design and color pallet of the
proposed building and believe it is a marked improvement from previous designs for that lot. Since 1
walk down that street multiple times a week, I believe it will fit in, neighborhood wise, as it seems
to be nicely tucked back into the hillside. I look forward to watching the building process move
forward.
Most Sincerely,
r
