7:00 pm Contractor is setting up TC for grinding operations.
8:00 pm Contractor started grinding at Tank Farm twards Airport number1 & 2 lanes 16' south bound lane.
9:30 pm Geo techs are on site.
11:30 pm HMA arrived on site. I spoke with Steve and Mark regarding late start and both assured me they would meet the 5 am dead line. So I allowed them to try being this is the first
time I've worked with Papich.
1:00 am Ruber tire roller broke down. Contractor got another one from Burke Construction.
I also informed Both Mark & Steve about airport traffic starting at 4:30 am. Mark Berry ensured me they would have enterance to airport open by 4:30 am .
4:00 am paver was 300 tonn away from airport drive. So I asked if I could take Jerry and the skip& drag with a raker to install a ramp to open airport drive both Steve and Mark Berry
alowed me to do so. They where not concerned with the clousure even though they ensured me it would be open.
5:30 am I'm flaging traffic through Airport Drive after paver whent through the intersection. We still have 300 tonn to finish to limit line in south bound lanes.
6:30 am Contractor completed placing HMA. traffic has picked up. contractor still has all TC out. taper at Tankfarm Airport exit is still closed.
7:30 am Airport operation called about opening Airport drive. I called Mark and he opened it up
8:30 am I called Steve M explained the situation regarding not being off the street by contract time. Steve was sleeping si I told him I would talk with Mark. I spoke with Mark At the
yard and explaine to him the complaints I recieved and informed Mark Berry Papich needs to start getting off the street by 5 am. I also told Mark they are doing great work just not
fast enough. So I considered that his verbal warning regarding contract compliance work hours. I'm not sure he cares but we will find out tomorrow.
