Dear Mayor Harmon and City Council Members,
After reading through the "Open SLO" plan in tomorrow's agenda packet I fully support it and encourage
the council to adopt this bold plan. This will be an extremely meaningful improvement for people who
use active transportation to reclaim the public right of way to adhere to social distancing. I believe many
of these temporary changes have high potential to become permanent in some fashion when people
see the benefits of having safer and more spacious streets. What an amazing opportunity to experiment
with various ideas that safe streets advocates have been promoting.
I'm overwhelmingly happy to see this plan and am very much looking forward to experiencing it once
implemented. Great job to staff for putting this together!
