Mayor Harmon and Council Members,
I would love a passing vote on Open SLO! It's a great step towards making downtown more people-friendly, and is
critically needed in a time where giving people more space for dining/shopping could mean the life or death of many
retailers and restaurants downtown.
Higuera is 5 cars wide - two parking lanes and three travel lanes, and all for cars. FIVE cars wide!! Let's make more room
for people to recreate, dine, socialize, and enjoy our beautiful downtown while following COVID-19 best practices. I
hope "more space for people" sticks around in our downtown once we've got COVID-19 under control as well.
