Subject:Open SLO
Dear Mayor and Council,
I am excited to see the proposed elements of Open SLO. These are the elements that us safe streets and active
transportation advocates have been pushing for for years. Let's use this opportunity to prove that the key to strong
community and "main streets" are the people (not the cars). Hundreds of cities around the world are setting the
precedent and we should join them. Please approve the proposed methods presented in the report to invest in our
community and make it stronger and more resilient as we start to recover and rebuild. When the time comes, let's
consider making many of these changes permanent.
