Subject:Public Comment 5.22.20: Item 1
Good morning – I wanted to take a moment to lend my support to Item 1 on the agenda. After these unprecedented
times and the hardships faced by the community and small business in particular, I think using the public’s right of way
to allow social distancing while allowing restaurants to open and serve is a grand idea. Not only would it allow these
small business to start generating cash flow as they’re on the brink of closure, but it would also greatly increase
community moral.
Doing so would also decrease car traffic downtown and encourage walking/biking which I know is big on the city agenda
as well.
