I support this appeal. The proposed 50-foot-tall, 275-foot-long, 60,000-square-foot luxury apartment and hotel structure will bisect the North Higuera neighborhood, the oldest wood-built block in San Luis Obispo. Based on SLO’s applicable Community Design Guidelines, this project does not conform with:  1.4.A.2. Integrate local cultural and historical themes into building and site design where appropriate  1.4.A.4. Design with consideration of the site context in terms of the best nearby examples of massing, scale, and land uses when the site is located in a notable area of the city  1.4.A.5. Protect the scale and character of historic neighborhood Thank you for your consideration to uphold the appeal. Sincerely, Mary E. Martin (65 year resident of San Luis Obispo, CA) 363 High Street (owner occupied) 1
