HomeMy WebLinkAbout6/2/2020 Item Public Comment, WhinneryHello, this morning I called the SLOPD to voice my concerns about the video showing their unnecessary use of teargas against people chanting with signs, not rioters, not looters, American
citizens voicing their concenrs through their constitutional rights.
Before I was finished with my first sentence, the man said to me "I don't want to have this conversation" and hung up the phone.
I have many issues with this for so many reasons as you could imagine.
My major concern is that this ignorence, this disrespect of the Law by the people in power will result in more chaos.
By not "having this conversation" over the phone, our PD is forcing people to take their concerns to the streets, resulting in damage to my community, your community, and increase the
spread of Covid-19 in a time we are desperately trying to prevent that.
Please, I would like some accountability and communication from the peope we trust to protect us.
