I’m writing to ask that our fine Police department be fully funded as the budget allows. I recognize and have sympathy for the national outrage of the treatment of George Floyd and others
at the hands of bad individuals in various police departments. That said, our community and more specifically our Police department have worked very hard for years to be fair, humane
and protect the whole community. To paint them with the same brush as bad actors in other parts of the country is wrong and unfair. The SLO PD is a critical and vital part of our community
and quality of life. I whole heartedly support them and ask for the Councils full support and funding.
