Tuesday, March 10, 2020
Special Meeting of the Active Transportation Committee
CALL TO ORDER
A Special Meeting of the San Luis Obispo Active Transportation Committee was called to order
on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room, located at 990 Palm Street,
San Luis Obispo, California, by Chair Roberts.
ROLL CALL
Present: Committee Members Thomas Arndt (arrived at 6:04 p.m.), Lea Brooks (vice chair),
Donette Dunaway, Timothy Jouet, Briana Martenies, and Jonathan Roberts (chair)
Absent: None
Staff: Active Transportation Manager Adam Fukushima, and Recording Secretary Lareina
Gamboa

ACTION ITEMS
1. Active Transportation Plan Schedule
Active Transportation Manager Fukushima provided a PowerPoint presentation and
responded to Committee inquiries in regards to the Active Transportation Plan Schedule.

ACTION: UPON MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER BROOKS, SECONDED BY
COMMITTEE MEMBER DUNAWAY, CARRIED 6-0-0, to recommend the extension of
the Active Transportation Plan schedule to allow more time for committee and public input
on the draft plan.
2. Project Prioritization in the Active Transportation Plan
Active Transportation Manager Fukushima provided a PowerPoint presentation and
responded to Committee inquiries in regards to prioritizing projects within the Active

Transportation Plan.

ACTION: UPON MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER ROBERTS, SECONDED BY
COMMITTEE MEMBER JOUET, CARRIED 6-0-0, to recommend the project list as
presented and the continued development of the project prioritization in anticipation of the
ATP draft release.
INFORMATION ITEM
3. Mid-Year Budget Review
Active Transportation Manager Fukushima provided a PowerPoint presentation and
responded to Committee inquiries in regards to the mid-year budget review.

ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m. The next Regular Active Transportation Committee
meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Hearing Room,
990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California.
