Subject:Natural gas ban
Question for Heidi Harmon.
When usage of the Coronavirus public restrictions failed, another way was found. One eliminating the in person element
using the social distancing guidelines and distant filtration of being liable in person to those whom you may disagree
with.
I know most the councils decisions were already made up on in this case for the previous vote on the natural gas ban
and there is a high likely hood that my email will not be read with any consideration, but I hope at least my job last long
enough for me to retire and ultimately leave SLO county.
Taking night time law classes I was blessed with studying under most of our counties law Enforcment specialist for my
education. Examples like the forensics crime lab for SLO county (Terry prince),the Sherriffs/commander at the SLO jail
(James Vogue), the admin assistant of probation (Roberty Reyes), local defense attorney (Ruth bearing), the first African
American youth facility warden (Vernon Haynes) and so on. I studied in this area and grew a respect for rule of law and
ultimately wanted to make a better tomorrow, I have seen a lot of our internal culture turn on each other recently with
national issues in the spot light.
I feel as a local culture the people I studied reflect a better image of this area, then the direction you are choosing to go
for "progress" .
I understand that your close opinions are socialist. It has been very obvious when you reflect the parties emblem the
Rose hidden in many areas (Dating back to 1848 in lieu of the French revolution). Your laptop on the public address at
last town hall I was at showed that (precision red and spot on), rose pendants on clothing etc. With that form of ideology
the notion of greater good for the masses is the consideration. Correct me if I am wrong on that notion.
I did not see that consideration when you belittled the local enforcment recently over use of tear gas, but on the
previous Sunday that same enforcment was blockading traffick and facilitating safety for the protestors, that was not
mentioned. Ultimately when you take your ideology on a public road way it is to make a powerful point, but when you
bring a child who cannot contract for themselves, ultimately the state has concerns of wardship and someone's safety
that is not in there hands as their choice. So I understand law enforcment tough call was partially in light of those who
cannot advocate for themselves.
I did not see that consideration at the last gas ban in person at the town hall when you threatened/advised "Do not get
out of hand I have officers on sight". As a minority, that statement was very discomforting, considering the current
environment, one of which you yourself actively are "protesting", but you were willing to use that centralized power
and intimidation on a group of people who are blue collar and mostly minority.
I did not see that consideration when your office refused to return calls from Eric Hofmann of Local Union 132. Which in
turn resulted in a polar narrative that divided the local populist even more. Just read the papers. The tribunes recent
article shows that example.
I did not see that consideration when the Natural gas utilities designed the worlds first 100 percent off set for carbon
emissions that would make California a negative carbon based state. The program being the RNG program using
1
electrolysis and large diagrams to seperate any organic naturally decomposing element that is a hydrocarbon and
allowing recirculation of use to break it down closer to the base element of hydrogen after being processed. Particularly
in a time when we are stifling nuclear development and punishing the consumers for the lack of foresight and ability to
have a dialogue that actually includes everyone's health and future.
As a socialist are you really for a better tomorrow? Are you really for choice? Are you really against Law Enforcment
abuse of power? When you yourself are using your position to exponentially grow such a centralization of power that
ultimately leads in abuse? Are you really for worker rights when one of the largest representations of them cannot get
you to have a conversation that is not subversally based on a political agenda alone? Or is it only the worker rights that
fall in line with your ideology that matter?
The reason I ask all these questions is simple. I don't know if you actually care about the local population. Your actions
are so contrary to those that I studied that facilitated my education and upheld the local peace as leadership. As
leadership like yours seems more progressive, it appears it is eroding the local peace and prosperity preventing future
progress.
We have a higher population then we ever have. Particularly in your town. Not to include the local slum like feel and the
absence of investment. I am watching your local businesses go belly up, while a large Chinese investment is building the
hotel right next to your City hall/chambers. All of which cost the largest carbon footprint that wont be seen as it is a
piece of the SLO empire/beautification. I am watching as a citizen who is concerned for the counties first responders.
Within a week of you protesting and actively disagreeing with their public call for safety, one sherriffs deputy got shot in
the face and 3 more injured, while one man got murdered by a homeless psychopath.
I hope one day you choose to answer these questions, as myself and many others are watching. We ultimately all want
the same thing, a better tomorrow and I feel the true start of being "progressive" and making "progress" is basing our
reality in the on hand issues right in front of us.
To those of you who chose to read this. Thank you. I appreciate your support and to those looking to make true local
change, I am networking to help. As a minority I have walked a fine line, as a student always learning, I will always be
open to listen and as a local I will always want a better tomorrow for our populist. The Central Coast.
