Subject:The Clean Energy Choice for New Buildings
To Whom it may concern,
I, Andy Garcia, am writing this letter in opposition to the San Luis Obispo (clean Energy for new Buildings) proposed
ordinance.
As we know with the closure of Diablo Canyon in 2025 there will be a loss of Jobs. We will have to buy our Electric
energy from somewhere else which means that will be added cost. By not using natural gas it will shut down many of
our underground contractors that specielize in that type of work hurting the construction industry and the economy
with means more job loss. It will also higher the cost of living for all the citizens in SLO County. We need to keep in mind
that there are citizens in the SLO county that won’t be able to afford the added coast to there every day living. It is time
we think about energy we can’t produce and a new method on how to produce new energy.
Respectfully,
Andy Garcia
