This creek is part of the character of SLO; why should a San Fernando Valley style setback over a creek be allowed? No other nearby properties encroach on their creek setbacks, and many of these are recent projects. At the very least, postpone approval of the creek encroachment and substandard parking facilities until the project at 950 Duncan (mechanical parking spaces) proves to be a viable residence and commercial space without easy parking and no street parking - or something that doesn’t belong in SLO.
