If you want this entered into the public record please resend to the council all and ask the city clerk to read as your public comment at the next council meeting. HEATED The quiet campaign to make clean energy racist To stop a small city's climate policy, fossil fuel interests sent in a front group, threatened COVID infections, and may have even manufactured a racism controversy. heated.world Dear Mayor Harmon and Council, I received this article from "Heated", an online environmental journal, about your recent struggle and victory for the Clean Energy Choice for Building program . This hit close to home since my family lives in San Luis Obispo and I know Mayor Harmon to be a progressive thinker, tireless leader and excellent coalition-builder. During my visits to SLO, I've attended and spoken to the SLO City Council, commending them on their informed discussions, public process and impeccable ethics. Mayor Harmon is dedicated to inclusive public input, from the wide diverse intellectual SLO community including CalPoly, to establish fair, open, developmental and environmental policy. Would that we had a mayor such as she in our little hamlet of Bisbee! Heidi Harmon does not and will not fold under pressure and neither does the SLO City Council. Congratulations on this COURAGEOUS, UNANIMOUS VOTE! Best, Donna Pulling Bisbee, AZ 2
