Subject:Architectural Review 207 Higuera St. SLO.
Hi,
We own the building at 140 South Parker St.SLO since 1995.
We've had parking problems for years due to the public storing RV's, public leaving cars on Parker for long
periods of time & customers wanting to shop in the furniture store.
We are concerned that the amount of parking needed for 16 one-bedroom apartments is more than the
surrounding businesses can handle. If we don't have parking for our customers than customers stop coming &
businesses close up. Over the past 25 years, we have been in a constant battle for the limited parking we
have. I know some of the 16 one-bedroom apartments will actually have two tenants which means there
could be a need for over 32 additional parking spaces which the surrounding area does not have available.
The small commercial building is going to need parking for their customers & I wonder where they are going to
park?
If you decide to allow this large 16 one-bedroom apartment building & 1 commercial building we request that
the parking on Parker St. be changed to 1 Hr. parking from 7 AM to 9 PM so that the surrounding businesses
have a chance to retain parking for their customers.
