Subject:6 story building!
Just saw in the paper where a six story building is going to be considered tonight for downtown SLO!
It shocks me to my core that any of you would even think to consider this! Oh that’s right, it’s proposed by a real estate
company based in Atlanta that is continuing to try to ruin our downtown and our city. Affordable housing for 13 of the
50 units? Ha, if I wasn’t crying over this proposal I would be laughing about that.
Don’t know who Jack Gamboa is other than someone still wet behind the ears (I looked him up), but I doubt that he
would be able to afford any of the housing planned for this. It definitely will not be workforce pricing.
We do not need any more commercial and office space downtown, just look at all the empty storefronts now and all the
empty offices throughout our city.
Gee, I thought there was a shortage of parking, especially now with so many areas being taken up for dining, which we
have no way of knowing how long that will last. But of course they would get around that by throwing money into your
pockets in lieu of having enough parking.
Please stop this insane thing along with the others that they are proposing.
I’f this next statement sounds harsh, I apologize but in my opinion, projects like this need to be voted on by every
resident in our city since for the most part we can’t trust our City Council and many of its departments to do what’s best
for SLO anymore.
