Subject:Support for Climate Action Plan
Dear SLO City Council:
As a local resident, I am writing in support of the city of SLO's proposed 2020 Climate Action Plan.
This plan provides an updated greenhouse gas inventory and outlines the essential steps needed to address climate pollution at the city
level and make SLO a leader in climate solutions. I encourage the City Council to continue to think creatively about additional funding
mechanisms to help pay for the work that is outlined in the proposal. The costs facing the people of SLO from climate pollution should
not be allowed to remain external and therefore hurt those least responsible for the problem.
Please adopt the Climate Action Plan and allocate the necessary resources to leverage our climate goals to support a clean and
forward-thinking economic recovery.
