Hello City Council!
I am writing in to support the 1144 Chorro project that will be presented to the City Council this evening. I was born and
raised in Shell Beach and graduated from SLO High. Living in SLO is such a dream, and developments like this make the
city more colorful and diverse in my opinion. I think having full-time residents in the downtown area is vital to our
economy and safety. Not only will full-time residents provide eyes on the streets after business hours, but they will
stimulate the downtown economy filled with local boutiques, eateries, and breweries - which we all know need our
support at this very moment.
Also, the fact that 25% of the apartments will be deed-restricted affordable housing is a step in the right direction.
Someone like me, who is married with a double income, still has a hard time buying a house in this area. More
affordable housing and urban density will help with this!
I am really excited to see this vacant property be transformed into something beautiful and relevant again! Thank you
for taking the time to hear my opinion!
