Dear City Council et al,
I am writing to you in support of 1144 Chorro, which I know is on the agenda for this evening’s meeting.
As a busy property manager in San Luis Obispo, I see the need daily for more rentals in San Luis Obispo, both market
rate and affordable housing. Even during this pandemic, the majority of our available rentals have several people who
are applying, which leaves an abundance of people who are still looking.
With the Planning Commission, the city of San Luis Obispo and the City Council working with developers such as
Copelands Properties, our downtown is vibrant and cool. \[Thank you for that!!!\] People are wanting to live downtown
and be closer to the great SLO vibe we have.
The property at 1144 Chorro is currently underutilized and I applaud the owners moving forward with solutions to the
future of San Luis Obispo downtown housing.
I am in complete support of this project moving forward and I hope that you are, as well!
