Mayor and City Council Members -
My name is Marjorie Ott, I live in Arroyo Grande. I moved to Cambria in 2001 when I purchased the Olallieberry Inn Bed
& Breakfast. I lived in Cambria until 2015 when I sold the Inn and moved to Arroyo Grande. While I lived in Cambria I
was very involved with the community - I served on the Cambria Chamber of Commerce and on the North Coast
Advisory Council. I was also very active at the county level, serving on the county tourism board. I was also part of the
group who worked with the County Board of Supervisors to create the Tourism County Business Improvement District
(CBID) . I served on the board until I sold the inn in 2015. We worked hard to promote tourism in the county while
respecting the environment of the county.
Since moving to Arroyo Grande I have become involved in service organizations in the south county.
I love this county and hope to be able to continue living here. I no longer have family here (the closest family is in the
Bay Area) so it is important for me to plan for future living requirements. However, I found the options for senior living
to be extremely limited. Then I found Villaggio and felt it would be a wonderful fit for me. I have been active in
participating in their programs. I love that they are very community oriented and respectful of the environment.
I urge the Council to approve the Froom Ranch Specific Plan. It will provide additional options for seniors living in this
county.
