Dear Rachel -
Would you kindly forward the letter attached below to the
Planning Commission? This letter pertains to Item No. 2 on
their October 14, 2020 meeting agenda where they will be
reviewing a mixed-use project at 650 Tank Farm Road.
Would you also insure that this letter is placed on the
City's correspondence file?
Thanks and keep safe!
- Allan

Honorable Chair and Commissioners -
I am asking you to incorporate into your final motion the Tree Committee’s modest
request to retain the trees along the boundary of Damon Garcia and the eastern edge of
the Lazy Acres RV storage area. This request was made at their August 10, 2020 meeting
and does not in any way jeopardize the number of units proposed for this mixed use
development nor does it require the redesign of this project.
Please help us address the City’s Climate Action Plan for Community Recovery by merely
disallowing the wholesale removal of all 210 trees presently located on this site. These
trees are being removed simply because the architect was unable (or unwilling) to work
around them. Thank you!
