I've been hiking on Cerro San Luis for more than thirty years to maintain fitness and enjoy the outdoors. When I was hiking at least three times a week to train for strenuous backpacking and mountaineering trips I often had to hike at night due to working long hours at my job. During those many night hikes I can't recall seeing any impact on wildlife or nearby residents. I strongly encourage you to permit this pilot program on Cerro San Luis to continue. In this time of Covid-19 it is even more important that people are allowed to get outdoors for exercise and enjoy some "normality" in their lives. Those that are required to stay at work or at home while working may not have adequate daylight hours to enjoy hiking on Cerro San Luis. Please allow this pilot program to continue, I believe it is the right thing to do. Thank you for your time. Tom Shumard 2356 Flora St. San Luis Obispo, Ca., 93401 805-441-6507 1
