Please reschedule this item so that the report, with accompanying data and videos, can be prepared and made available to the public. Council's decision to permit nighttime access to Open Space included a requirement for studies to determine if the intrusion of humans at night would interfere with the nocturnal habits of the wildlife that lives there. Neither you nor the public has this information. Nighttime use of Open Space should be suspended until staff prepares, performs outreach and presents such a report. Suspension of the Pilot Program should not be a surprise to to those who have participated in it. After all, it was a Pilot Program, not a change. Why should the program be suspended? The pilot program has been in effect for two years; data has been collected. Adding an additional year is betting/assuming that no disruption or negative impacts on the wildlife has occurred. If that is not true, it would be unconscionable to continue for an additional year. Thank you! Sandra Rowley SLO resident 1
