Dear Council,
Please approve consent agenda item #11. There is no new substantive reason for closing off the city's open space after
dark during winter hours. Closing off open space because of unfounded (non-scientific or proven reasoning) is
premature and discriminatory towards people with normal 9am-5pm work schedules. The current permit based pilot
program is already over bearing and frustrating enough that many people choose not to enjoy or utilize our city's
greenspace.
