Council members,
First, I'd like to share a post on the Central Coast Concerned Mountain Bikers Facebook page which sums up my feelings
perfectly.
"Do we really have to encroach on everything? There are animals that are strictly nocturnal, people
traipsing around in the dark can disrupt necessary survival activities of such animals. We don’t need to
have access to areas just because we think so. We share the environment, respect others that depend on
those environments for survival.
You would think MB’s would get that and support it. ( I’m a person that enjoys MBing in this area since
1980)"
Second, have any of you inquired as to the details of the field surveys were conducted by Terra Verde Environmental? I
believe they survey a total of 3 times. It's a pretty minimal survey at best.
I'm also wondering how "social justice" has now become a way to ignore all sorts of environmental impacts. I'm just
guessing here but that's got to be a perversion of the concept. Or, maybe it's not.
Sincerely,
Brett Cross
